This was part of the Sisters – Re-emergence exhibitions put on by Stroud Sisterhood for international women’s day. It was a lovely, cosy morning, as the rain fell, the tea streamed and conversations grew. I read from a body of work I wrote over many years of travels ‘Songs from Her Shores’, which is trying to come together in a from of book, getting closer to that every day.

Info:

“Try simple weaving on a weaving card (provided) or bring a project. Relax in the comfortable space of the Temple and enjoy working alongside others. Be free to chat, be free not to if you don’t feel like it!

Spinning and weaving are ancient crafts and the metaphors speak deeply to the psyche.

There will be time to get going and for tea and then I will read for about an half an hour from ‘Songs from Her Shores’. A collection of Stories of the Divine Feminine:

“It began as a whisper, a name hushed in silence like a dream half remembered. Naught else was moved but the trees and the flowers passed between themselves the knowing of what was to come…

And come it did, as an invitation to those who knew of the song beneath the waves, who would hold Heaven in their hands and shape their days in Her name…”
